Summary
Eleonore Duplay believed in the Revolution. She believed in the Republic.
She believed that nothing else could be taken from her after Thermidor. Her lover, brother-in-law and mother all gone within weeks of each other. What else could she possibly lose to the Revolution?
But there was still more blood within her to pay to the Republic and further for her heart to break.
XXX
Grantaire has good reasons for being cynical in regards to Revolution. Year II stole his life from him before he was born. He's right to doubt the people, the ones who stayed inside when his father was assassinated. His death is one more line of tragedy for the de Robespierres.
He doesn't tell the Les Amis of his parentage, because why should it matter to them? He disappoint them in different ways, instead.

ON INDEFINITE HIATUS- I AM SO SORRY
Ophelia turned slowly back to Horatio and watched his face for an explanation. The analog clock on the wall maliciously slowed down as he met her gaze. The second hand ticked- hours passed- the second hand ticked again. Dawn ought to have broken by the time a knock sounded at the door.
After the tragic events at the Danish court, Horatio and Ophelia move into a cottage in the woods with the hopes of living out the rest of their lives in relative obscurity. Elsinore’s staff isn't going to make that easy.
Or: A big, dark Hamlet AU with some cozy cottagecore frosting on top. Expect political intrigue, decade-spanning flashbacks, and the slow realization that Hamlet was a horrible person.Bookmarked by mckinleygirl98

Summary
Horatio’s story, from before the beginning until the very end.
A medium-velocity-burn journey through the fluff-to-angst pipeline with a loyal, nerdy, prickly, laconic, and gentle person as a guide.
Expect complex backstories, wild canon divergences, sexually charged character development, and classics as a coping mechanism.
I always wondered how exactly someone seemingly so well-adjusted and self-sufficient as Horatio becomes so blindly devoted to someone like Hamlet?
