The thing is, Buck never thought he’d get to have anything like this, especially not with Eddie and Chris. There have been times over the years when he let himself think about what it could be like, making a family with the Diazes, but he never seriously considered it as a real possibility. Buck has spent so long searching for someone who might be willing to build a life with him. Now, making pancakes on a Sunday morning with Eddie clinging to his back like a koala bear and Chris watching cartoons in the living room with their disgustingly cute dog, Buck feels like he’s won the mega lottery.

“Can I kiss you?” Buck asks.
It’s not a question Eddie ever expected to hear from him, but there’s something about the soft look on his face that hits Eddie right in the gut, disarming him. It’s not like he’s never looked at Buck and wondered if maybe… But it’s never been the right time, what with Shannon coming back, Shannon dying, Buck almost dying, and now Buck almost dying for a second time. Eddie can’t help wondering whether there’s been something building between them since they met.
He wants to say that Buck’s upset and shut him down. His kid is sleeping right down the hall, and Buck is clearly upset about something, which means this is one of the bad decisions Buck makes when he’s feeling off-kilter and out of control.
Eddie doesn’t want to be one of Buck’s bad decisions.

Summary
Moving back in with Buck is both the best and worst decision Albert has made lately.
His first night back at the loft is strange, to say the least. He and Buck order Thai food and make their way through multiple episodes of the latest season of The Bachelor. The atmosphere between them feels easy at first. As Albert automatically hands the pad see ew over to Buck in exchange for the pork fried rice, he begins to relax for the first time in a very long time. Maybe he has not felt this relaxed since the accident or since he moved out of Buck’s loft and into Howie and Maddie’s apartment.
Since he joined the LAFD.

Summary
When the 118 find out about Buck’s secret thirst account on Instagram – to raise fire safety awareness, obviously – they make fun of him the appropriate amount and move on. Eddie, who has had some recent and birthmark-shaped revelations about his feelings, finds it a little harder to do the same.
Of course, Eddie would never invade Buck’s privacy by searching for and finding the anonymous account. Or looking at all the uploaded photos late at night. Or even directly messaging Buck’s secret account. That would be weird, because he’s certainly not planning on doing anything about his newfound attraction.
However, anonymous account @elbombero118 has no such limitations.

Eddie jerks out of the moment, pain registering around his bicep where Hen is squeezing him too hard. There’s an edge to her voice, jaw clenched, and eyes narrowed as she looks across from where they are standing. Eddie follows her gaze and his entire body freezes.
“Whatever you do,” Hen’s voice is low, dark, “do not let him take Buck.”
Jonah can’t see them from where he’s standing, his back mostly turned as he flashes a light in one of the patient's eyes. Eddie shifts without thinking, blocking Buck and Christopher from view. Fuck the fire, Eddie thinks as he plants himself where he’s standing.

He exhaled slowly and melted into the table.
“Good boy,” Eddie said and all of Buck’s thoughts went silent as the buzzing that had been under his skin stopped.
