Summary
As a result of DL–6, Gregory goes into a coma, leaving his young son Miles behind, alone and with nobody to take care of him.
At least, that is what the boy thought until a young girl by the name of Mia comes to see him and speak to him. One thing leading to another, they both flee and hide in a bakery to escape the scary man who wants to have custody of Miles.
When Gregory finally wakes up from his coma, both Mia and Miles are happy to tell him how they first met.

Summary
In a timeline different from the one we know, Miles was not taken in by von Karma. He met Mia Fey and became her little protégé, the two having the same hope of finding the truth behind the DL–6 case. In that same timeline, it is Phoenix who was raised by von Karma and became a cold and ruthless prosecutor.
Those two knew they would have to face each other in court eventually. To know if there were fully prepared for such a harsh fight was another thing entirely. After all, they also had their own troubles outside of the courtroom.
