This was nice. And then Ed was moving again. Downwards. And then Ed was straddling his lap. And then Ed’s hands traveled down his chest and to the hem of his shirt. And—oh fuck.
Stede’s eyes jumped open and he pulled back from the kiss. “I uh,” He gulped and he began pushing at Ed’s chest, “Uh, I left something on the deck.” Ed moved from his lap and Stede stood up, eyes still blown wide, as he began making an exit, “Gotta go, uh, see you later? Yeah later.”

Summary
Joan and Yaz had been dating for a year now. Yaz remembers the day they met clearly. She had chased a thief down to her bookshop the Blue Box. And, in an act of stupefying generosity, Joan had offered to buy the what the kid stole. Yaz was infatuated from day one and that, with the blossoming of their relationship, steadily developed into love.
Now here they were, sitting at a local Chinese buffet, and Yaz didn’t feel deserving of the love. This festering guilt at tricking Joan into loving her had been slowly, slowly developing over some time now, and finally came to a head in the past week.
Joan was too busy making a mustache out of a noodle to notice Yaz’s deflating mood. Yaz spared her girlfriend a smile at her noodle-mustache but otherwise payed her no attention. She was busy. Busy listing the ways she didn’t deserve Joan. Busy listing the ways she should be happy right now.

"Yaz’s heart ached. Death by pure longing. Brutal. She couldn’t stop the way her body ached for the comfort of the Doctor’s or the way her hand knew that it would fit perfectly in the Doctor’s, as they’d held hands before, or the way her lips felt parched for the Doctor’s mouth on hers. And most of all she couldn’t stand the way the scouse was right, that in the end all she needed to do was just tell her. Hell, she could die any minute, if the incident with the dalek taught her anything.
The scouse was right and it pained Yaz to say that. It pained Yaz for two reasons, one and most importantly, damn it one point to Liverpool, two unrequited love ached."
