Summary
The translated story of a Homestuck Roleplay server into a fanfiction. This is the alchemized passions of tens of people, coalesced into this spoken song.
Homestuck Sunbound follows an Earth, except it is combined with the socioeconomic, and cultural climates of Alternia, and Beforus, too. 500 years after Her Imperious Condescension's death, the society she championed still marches on. In a wider cosmos, though, power can still gather more of itself. The society is still implicitly, and explicitly, bigoted. The lower, "castes," if such a word had ever been made obsolete, are still exploited for the benefit of their owners- their entrepreneurial benefactors. It's not remarkably different from our socioeconomic climate, save for its exceptional brutality.
The story follows multiple perspectives. Your starting characters are Rhea Lalonde, in her quest for freedom, connection, and family, and Caliborn in his quest for domination, and ultimately, wholeness. You will gather more perspectives as you read.
The creation of a universe is still very much on the line, though the threat of world destruction is no longer present. And none of these characters get to choose who they have to play with.
