Adam eases up with his knife. A drop of blood beads at the swell of Ronan’s throat, just above the jut of cartilage which shares Adam’s name. Adam kisses away the blood, and then he kisses his way up to Ronan’s lips.
He whispers there, “Good.”

Andrew takes Bee's advice and finds more than he thought he would

His phone chirruped with the notification coming through, blue light from the screen splitting the darkness of a room after midnight. For a slow moment, he watched it, breath suspended in the air like delicate shards of glass frozen at the moment they’d been shattered. A breath in might kill him, reaching forward might bleed him dry. He wanted to dive through the space and see what parts of him came out unscathed.
The phone screen went dark.
