With changes brought to Fontaine and the Oratrice ceasing to function, Fontaine’s Research Institute went out of its way to develop a truth serum to aid Iudex Neuvillette with court proceedings. For safety protocols, the Chief Justice tried it out himself.
Its effectiveness was… beyond expectations.
“Neuvillette, are you saying you want to help me with… packing?” Furina questioned between laughs.
“Yes.”
“But you don’t want me to go?”
“Yes.”
He wasn’t supposed to say yes to either of the two.
