Summary
Juwon’s eyes land on the embroidery on the coat’s right breast: the characters of his name.
Immediately, his mind floods with images: the multi-million-dollar navy blue supercar that his seven-year racing contract had afforded him; a black flag with a red circle billowing in his peripheral as he shot down a straightaway; fingers prying at his cracked helmet, his jumpsuit bloodied from chin to shin.
“Keep it.” Juwon tells Dongsik. “You can wear it to my closed-casket funeral.”
Dongsik laughs, and Juwon clenches his jaw.

Summary
“No.” Juwon says.
“Okay.” Dongsik replies. He taps Juwon again. Juwon lifts his foot to step back, and Dongsik catches it with both hands. unties the laces of his shoes, one by one.
“I said ‘no.’” Juwon says again, firmly.
“And I said ‘okay.’”
Dongsik slides Juwon’s shoes off and places them neatly beside his own weathered pair. Juwon spends the next few moments in feigned deliberation, and Dongsik watches with a smile.

Summary
“When you’re really worked up, you start speaking English. It’s attractive. Especially in bed.” Dongsik says, grinning at the embarrassed look Juwon shoots at him. “I’m curious. I don’t know much English, but you grew up in England. You never talk about it.”
Juwon sits with the question for a moment, staring out the windshield. The reeds are golden in the sunlight, sibilant in the wind. Their pungent scent carries, and Dongsik smiles despite it. He’s grown used to this view, obstructed by Han Juwon. It’s Juwon that he stares at, and it’s Juwon who is the subject of his unending fascination.

“Han Juwon.” Dongsik said suddenly. His breathless tone was caught somewhere between scolding and knowing. He pressed his lips against Juwon’s racing pulse, as if that would placate him.
“Yes.” Juwon replied stiffly, not a question because he already knew what was coming.
“Relax.”

“Jason was our brother. Our responsibility.” Bruce said, without looking up. He pulled his hand away, instead resting it on the arm of the opulent leather couch.
“His life was. His death wasn’t.” David told him.
Bruce said nothing.

Blood split the pavement in two, and it dripped from the ears of Batman’s cowl like rain-soaked thorns. When he smiled, blood stained his teeth. It both coated his surroundings, and quieted them. He had chosen tonight because it wouldn’t rain. The night was cold, but charged. Bodies were strewn across the docks like confetti after a parade.Beneath Batman’s right boot, a man gave an experimental gurgle. Only when he did it again did Batman lift his foot. He crouched beside the man, watching him as he wheezed and rattled, body trembling.
“Please.” The man sputtered, his red-painted lips splattered with blood as he coughed.
TL;DR: Thomas and Martha Wayne are still alive, struggling to take Gotham City back from its hellish underworld. Batman has controlled the night for around 3 years, and is plagued by his shadow following the death of Robin. Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne and his twin David mourn the death of their brother in spectacular displays of grief.

The cop slowly nods. He finally holds up the patient device, checks the result, and then flashes it to the lawyer. It’s glowing green.
“You’re right.” Detective Ma taps the roof of the car twice, a bit too hard for Dongsoo’s liking. “I don’t understand you two at all.” He retreats from the window, and waves toward the empty road ahead of the pair. “You’re free to go.”
