Catra decide perseguir su sueño de ser escritora, pero para eso decide huir del ruido y estrés de la ciudad hacía la cabaña de las madres de Scorpia en Thaymor, solo que no esperaba encontrarse con la leñadora del pueblo Adora que la despierta todas las mañanas con el hermoso eco de la hacha cortando la madera, y aunque al inicio a Catra no le agrada, nunca se sabe que es lo que pueda pasar entre una escritora y una leñadora.

Summary
Hay muchas cosas en las que Adora es buena, pero el amor no es una de ellas. Pero eso no importa, menos cuando tiene un grupo de amigos que la apoyan y quiere tal cual como es, a pesar de que es mal tercio.
De todas maneras no esperaba que en las vacaciones conociera a Catra, y menos que se viera forzada a convivir con ella todos los días durante tres semanas, y quizá, con Catra a un lado no sea tan difícil creer que el amor regreso a su vida.

Summary
Catra suddenly laughs, because what is she doing? She’s a closeted lesbian who hasn’t spoken to her family in years because of it, she’s struggling financially through grad school, she lives in a shitty apartment, and she’s just, essentially, offered to help a ghost figure out how to be a ghost.
But the hopeful look in Adora’s eyes is still there, and she’s wearing the first genuine smile Catra’s ever seen on her, and she’s almost blindsided by how beautiful Adora is.
So Catra nods and says, “yeah. I’ll help you figure it out,” because really, how hard can it be?
(Really, she has no idea what she’s getting herself into.)

“That’s the problem,” Adora sighed, “it’s like, whenever she’s near me, I forget how to function like a person. I bet she’s some kind of witch. She’s putting a spell on me for her own amusement.”'
Or, the five times Adora tries and fails at asking Catra out, and the one time she maybe succeeds.

“It’s not that funny!”
Adam clutches his sides, and Adora can practically see his diaphragm shaking. “Oh my gods, ‘Dor, it really, really is.”
The conversation had started out well enough. Adora had mentioned she was going to bring a girl to his wedding if he was okay with it. Adam had said of course it was okay, and then for some reason mentioned how proud he was of her for figuring herself out. Adora quickly clarified that she was not, in fact, gay, and that’s when the laughing had started.

Adora loves her family. She really does. But they can be a little homophobic at times. So Adora comes up with the perfect plan: she's going to bring a woman to her brother's wedding. And who better than Catra, from her rugby team? After all, Catra is... basically perfect. If Adora were into women, it would totally make sense that she'd be into Catra. She's just an ally, obviously, but like... even Adora knows Catra would be a great girlfriend.
This prank is going to be perfect.

"Adora?"
"Yeah." She's honestly mostly thrilled Catra remembers her name without the context of the bar to help her remember. "What brings you to this ice cream shop?" She's hoping that maybe seeing each other in the light of day might give Adora a better chance at snagging a date or hangout with the brunette.
A shadow crosses her face. "I don't—"
"Mama!" The little voice is authoritative and relieved and a toddler makes their way to Catra, putting their hand in hers. Adora feels her eyes widen as she looks at Catra and the kid she assumes must be hers.
Catra sighs. "My kid wanted a treat after doing well at their doctor's appointment." She looks down and gives the child a small smile. "What flavor do you want?" Her voice is different, patient and soft, not at all the sultry rasp Adora imagines when she thinks of her.
"Strawberry." Adora bites her lip to keep from cooing at how the 'Rs' sounds like 'Ws'.
"A kid. That's um—that's cool." She'd never thought about children in more than a vague notion that could maybe be in her future.
