Summary
Queens and prostitutes... statesmen and beggars... antagonists and heroes, those people on the other side of the tv; they have lived (or at least pretended to live) a life that Tommy had never known, never experienced before.
But even so, the emotions that they portray, are always familiar. That feeling, of the day Dad had lost to his grief. That feeling, of the day his brothers had stopped talking to him. That feeling, of listening to his brother Wilbur's guitar and the feeling of the hard ground after he had lost sparring with Technoblade again.
These actors that played all these feelings, had in turn, helped Tommy remember those feelings.
Anyone can do it. Even Tommy, who had stopped feeling them a while ago. All they needed to do.. was remember.
(Or: Tommy learns the art of acting with Dream and in turn, confronts his past emotions and feelings.)

And like the waves, pushing and pulling anything and everything into the ocean depths, Ranboo is enveloped by a weird feeling. He stops. Something wasn’t right. He was forgetting something, something very important and big and gaping. Something was missing.
He stares into space, pondering uncomfortably for a moment, before he’s hit with a realization. The familiar footprints on the beach, the feeling that he’s been here before

“One more loop, Tommy. One more chance.” Karl states, his voice weakening by the minute. His godly halo flickers and flashes with an unfamiliar golden light, contrasting heavily to the calm silver earlier. “I will help you in my mortal form, if need be. May Prime.. be with us-”
Darkness. Light. The threads of time pull, almost snapping in two- but not quite. One more loop. One more chance. For the very last time, Tommy closes his eyes.

"But no one really ever talks about losing the first pawn, right?" Ranboo smiles, rapping his fingers on the mahogany table. " After all, your pawn is the first thing you move in the game; it's your first piece, and yet people lose it like it's nothing. It's too bad that I had to be the 'pawn' this time."
Sam blanks, and then shrugs nonchalantly. His gas mask flickers beside him, but nobody notices. "That seems a bit too sentimental, don't you think? The sacrifice has to be made."
"That's just silly. Sacrifices can be avoided." Ranboo interrupts. He stops, a sullen look flashing across his face. "For example, you could have avoided killing me."

The wrinkle between Wilbur’s eyebrows relaxes, replaced quickly when one of them lifts a little, the corner of his mouth twitching.
“I read you that easily?” He questions, tone fond, and Tommy glares at him.
“Of course you do,” he says, gritting his teeth to keep from adding a curse to it. He was going to be sappy, for once. “Very easily, actually. Sometimes— sometimes it’s kinda fucking scary how well you know me. Like, like today— you picked me up from the cafe without more questions than just, ‘What happened?’ and ‘Where are you?’”
Wilbur smiles at this, “And I’d do it again in a heartbeat, you know.”

Tubbo is the criminal of the family.
Yes, it sounds terrible when phrased that way, and really it's only a family of two— but it's true. Tubbo is the criminal of the family, which means that several things go wrong very quickly when Ranboo has a go at it. It's only because Tubbo's sick, so it's fine, but— but then they switch places, and Ranboo gets sick instead.
God, this all could have been avoided if Tubbo just sneezed into his elbow like Ranboo's always telling him to.

Summary
Tommy is Death.
A short three word sentence, simple in presentation but so much more complicated beyond it.
He isn't human, and it's his duty, as has been allowed by the universe, to draw spirits from the dark, from dirt and flesh, to guide and love and protect, and he hasn't always been like this, but that's a story for another time.
For now, Tommy is Death, and he is who guides creatures into rest but doesn't choose when they die, and he is kind, is love, is the shepherd, the protector, the warden of all life and that which is beyond it.
And for a time, that was enough. That was all.
