Summary
Mikey stared at his older brother, whom he idolized at the peak of his glory days as the leader of the Black Dragons. He still looked up to him. However, his admiration is waning after seeing him mope around at getting rejected for the fourth time this month, adding to his long list of failed romantic endeavors.
And even with his declaration now about not being afraid to love someone, Mikey has to disagree. It’s too much pain. Too much inconvenience, he decides. His life is whole enough, and he doesn’t want to end up without the person he loves, whom he'll lose one day anyway.
That’s when Mikey decided he didn’t want to take after Shinichiro in this aspect as much as he loved his brother—running headfirst after that eventual heartache.
