“Why do you have to be so stubborn?!” Izuku shouts, jumping up from his chair.
Katsuki stands up too, getting in Izuku’s face. “I’m stubborn? You’re the one not letting me help—”
“Because I don’t need your help!”
“Like hell you don’t!” Izuku seethes before him, face flushed in anger, but Katsuki continues on. “Always actin’ like you’re better than everyone else, like you need to handle shit alone. I’m here for you, Izuku, whether you like it or not!”
Izuku stares at him incredulously. “You’re—” He’s so close to Katsuki, their mingled breaths visible in the cold air, their faces inches apart. “You’re impossible,” he whispers.
Izuku looks like he wants to punch him. It’s a long time coming—Katsuki’s ready for it.
He isn’t ready for what actually happens.
