Summary
This story takes place during the Journey into Mystery comic book run but even if you haven't read it, I provide context within the narrative. It also explains how Kid Loki killed Thor, if you're interested. I chose not to include warnings except for Mature Content with the intention of not spoiling the story.
You may expect sexual activity and violence, please refrain from reading if it disturbs you in any way.
***The god of mischief meets his death during the Siege. The Asgardians are sheltered in Asgardia, a temporary home in Midgard, while their true home is rebuilt. Loki is brought back by Thor -- to the Asgardian's despair and against their advice, Thor refuses to let him go. War finds them again when they face Odin's brother, causing Thor's death in the process. Some think it was all part of the prophecy, some say Loki managed to cause it on purpose.
Nonetheless, the Thunder god is back. Loki oscillates between good and evil. He has plotted and schemed his way out of punishment, but spoils of the war continue to follow him. Surtur wants what what promised to him. Loki's memories are coming back and he can see Thor in a different light -- one that only his old self knew of. -
