Not since Charles first asked Edwin to turn him, back in ‘92, nineteen and already so in love with Edwin he couldn’t see straight, and Edwin turned him down flat. It stung, but Charles has tried not to hold it against him. Forever is a lot to ask of someone, after all. So they don’t talk about it, and that’s fine, isn’t it? Until it’s not.
