He tackles you to the ground; his beard scratches your closed eyes, closed mouth; his blood soaks through to your skin.
Above you a creature of the night has his limp flesh on a long claw, crimson spilling from its gnawing teeth. Without hesitating you spring to your feet, and run right into the woods towards a dark castle with two human corpses impaled outside.
You never look back.

Summary
Alright, so, this was kind of fucked up. Never in ten thousand years would you’ve imagined that the alien prince of a galactic empire would be on his knees, begging you for his life. But by now you’d accepted that aliens were real, Zarkon was pure evil, and his son Lotor was just as bad. After blowing up a Galra base and getting exiled for it, he apparently wanted an alliance with Voltron. He put his life on the line to save the paladins from Haggar to prove it. They didn’t believe him. So they locked him up.
You weren’t a paladin, not really part of the team, but as the only qualified medic on board, you raised the issue of assessing Lotor’s condition. It was beyond you why nobody else had bothered to check on him. He did save your asses.
Why the sight of a syringe made him sink to his knees, you didn’t know. But it was kind of fucked up that he looked divine doing it.
