Keith threw the mask aside, dragging his hands down his face, and turned around. Lance, “Stupid, freaking, annoyingly charming, handsome, idiot–” Keith was exasperated as he threw his arms in the air, quickly retracting them when his wounds were pulled painfully. “Ow, ow, ow, okay, nevermind,–”
Keith stopped abruptly when he realized there was someone else in the room.
Miffed blue eyes stared at him, sharp face laced with shock as his mouth hung open. The same boy that Keith’s eyes trailed after day-by-day during classes, the same brown skin and browner hair. “What. The. Fuck?” Lance McClain deadpanned.

Summary
Keith laughed breathlessly, running his hand through his hair and rubbing at his eyes, wondering if this was a dream or a sleep-deprived hallucination. Yet it still stood in the same place when he pulled his hands back. Beautiful, elegant, detailed, it was unlike anything Keith had ever seen before. It put his own castle to shame. The tall spires and elegant detailing sketched into the ice, it must have taken years to build.
To see something so beautiful built out of the thing Keith had spent his entire life loathing, it was bittersweet. He had to meet whoever had built this, whoever lived in such a bizarre and lonely place.

Summary
Lance could only kid himself so much— Keith saw right through him. No one had ever seen through his façade; not a single person saw through his strong front. After years of denying himself in order to please others, Lance could not help but feel good to be known so well. He could not hide from Keith like he had always hidden from himself.

Summary
Lance has the tendency to end up in a lot of near-death situations, and Pidge ends up being the unlucky soul that has to get him to safety. This time, though, that near-death experience is shaping up to be more of an actual-death experience, and Lance is damned if he isn't going to be an asshole the entire way there.
