Summary
They climb into the car and Sapnap feels quiet. He feels like Nick. So he closes his eyes, listens to his mom as she hums to 89.3, and tries his hardest not to think about Karl. Coming here. Tomorrow. He squeezes his eyes shut tightly until sunspots burst, reform, and burst again.
Or Sapnap invites Karl to his family's home for Christmas, and he feels...ways about it.

Summary
George is walking around, calling for Sapnap, voice frantic and loud, grating against his ears. Dream taps furiously at his phone, no doubt trying to contact his friend. But Karl just sits and stares, sound waving in and out tinnily, just unnatural enough to make him dizzy.
He’s already drunk, and the unpleasant fear lurching in his chest doesn’t make it any better. He gingerly places his hand, still covered in wine, on the cushion beside him, just to make sure.
It's still warm.
Or, Sapnap gets thrown back in time, and his friends have to go find him.
Or, Or, Pete adopts another twenty-something, and Patrick's just along for the ride.
Or, Or, Or, I force my two favorite things onto you poor readers. Sorry.

Summary
More often than not, Tommy forgets how to be Tom. He forgets what he’s actually interested in, forgets how to talk to people without raising his voice or pitching it low, scraping it on the edges of his rough persona. The persona he still wears like a bracelet, one that’s fraying and shredded nearly to bits.
It’s almost transparent how much he hates it, now.
Almost.
Or, a study of a loud kid who isn't really a kid anymore, and how he deals with growing up both too fast and not enough all at once. A study of having the worlds eyes on you when you wanted nothing more than to be looked at by your parents, or your friends, or maybe just your dogs. It’s about friendship, and loss, and learning how to be okay with yourself when you aren’t the best person in the world. It’s about lying and growing and being honest; about anger and self hatred and maybe self love, too. Somewhere.

Summary
He feels the physical embodiment of devastated, his already too strung-out mind struggling to wall up all the hurt, the rejection—he takes a deep shuddering breath and looks down at the shredded skin on his arms, at the sluggish way they’re weakly healing.
There is nothing, nothing he wants more than to have Derek sweep in and make everything all better. He should have known, though, that something like that would never happen to him.

Summary
He’d heard yelling; he’d heard a few moments later the crunch of wood and metal of a door being kicked in; and his eyes had slit open enough an instant or a minute later to see a golden, terrified face appearing above him. Hands sliding desperately onto his cheeks, holding him still; long tan legs kneeling in a puddle of blood and water.
He should’ve known then. He’d never seen Jake Seresin look so afraid.
-
Bradley Bradshaw always imagined himself going out in either a blaze of glory or a lavish retirement party. He never imagined his flight career ending from something as mundane as an off-the-job head injury. Then again, he also never imagined that Jake Seresin of all people would be at his side when he decided to drive across the country to cope with it.

Summary
Bradley sighed. “It’d just be nice if he was nice once in a while, that’s all I’m saying.”
“Gotta say, this is a hundred times worse than your horny era,” Nat said, and Bradley stabbed a pointer finger at her.
“There was no horny era,” he said. “And—and I’m not hung up on him. He’s just—”
“‘Aggravating,’” Nat said, yanking the word out of his mouth. “I’ve heard it before. And you definitely are hung up on him. Are, have been, probably always will be. Maybe that’s the real reason his name’s Hang-man. Stringing you along without even realizing he’s doing it.”

Summary
“Well," the gate agent said. "Only uniformed military members and their spouses can board priority, but—”
“That works out,” Bradshaw said, his voice tinny and distant in Jake's ringing ears. “Because this is my fiancé.”
If Jake hadn’t been able to choke down a piece of toast this morning, he thought he might be light-headed enough to just pass out right then and there.
--
Jake is trying to fly home for Thanksgiving and not have a panic attack on the airplane. Bradley is trying to skip town and spend the holiday in a mountain cabin to distract from another Thanksgiving alone. Between the two of them, they might both get where they need to go.
