Summary
He coughs weakly and tries to sit up, or at least what he thinks might be up, because he can’t really tell with the way everything is spinning. His head is pounding, like someone is chiseling cement in there, and when he manages to force his eyes open he can’t see past the brightly colored spots dancing across his vision.
“Easy, bud. Just stay down for a minute, she cracked your egg pretty good.”
((Sam gets a concussion from an angry ghost. Dean looks after him))

Summary
Carefully, quietly, knowing that Dean will kill him if he wakes up, Sam eases out of his own jacket and drapes it over his brother's sleeping frame.
He holds his breath when Dean stirs, mumbling something in his sleep, before he hunkers down in Sam's jacket, tugging it tighter over his shoulders. He doesn't wake up.
Sam sighs, and starts the car. He turns the heater on as warm as he can stand, and pulls them back out onto the road.

Summary
“We need someone planted inside,” Kimball says.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been lied to, taken advantage of, shot in the back, and left for dead–
“Someone who can infiltrate the ship without a map,” she continues.
–and now I have a way out of all of this–
“Someone we can disguise as an inmate, who knows their way around.”
–what in the hell makes you think I’m going to ask for it?
“Someone who’s been there before,” Wash finishes grimly for her. “Someone like me.”

Summary
“How’re you feeling?”
“Shitty,” Sanji mutters. He’s not sure when Zoro gained the patience of a saint, but it’s making it difficult to be mad at him, which only makes Sanji want to be more mad at him.
It’s not even Zoro’s fault he sprained his ankle. Zoro just happens to be the only one willing to come check up on him and keep him company, probably because of the aforementioned bad attitude, and so he’s getting the brunt of Sanji’s frustration.

Summary
Sanji glances over at Zoro, who's been awfully quiet, even for him. He finds the swordsman staring at the rest of the group with a dejected set to his shoulders, and Sanji's about to kick him and tell him to haul the stick out of his ass until he sees Zoro absentmindedly reach up to trace his fingers along the scar over his left eye.
Oh.
((The crew dock at an island just in time to enjoy a festival. Everyone gets their eye makeup done whether they like it or not, sanji has a little too much to drink while denying his feelings, and zoro has some feelings of his own while being an excellent caretaker))

Summary
"Wash feels Church behind every hit, swing and weave, refining angles and force like a dance. And Church catches Wash at pace right along with him, changing tactics like it’s an old song he sings along to. And, for a minute, they think: This is it. This is what it was supposed to be."
The mercs force Epsilon back into Wash's head, and several subsequent days of That Happening. Featuring: daring escapes, two people trying really hard not to mess each other up any more than they already are, and Chorus as Space Australia.

Summary
What’s so hard about fixing a machine?
Easy peasy.
Just put this screw thing here and- oh shit.Tucker coughs as smoke invades his nostrils and fills his lungs, “Jesus, how is there so much smoke in such a small piece of junk?” He speaks half to himself, half to Washington, who’s sleeping on the floor three feet away from him. The ex-freelancer shifts in his sleep, apparently oblivious to Tucker’s troubles.

Tucker tries to fix a machine, Washington finally sleeps.
P.s. chapter 2 is pure self-indulgence

Summary
"If it’s just a fever," Wash said, "Why do you look so worried?"
Tucker glanced away.
"Fevers can be dangerous if they’re too high. You’re always looking out for me and you’re more than capable for looking after yourself. Looking after you when you’re sick is the only chance I get to try to protect you."Bookmarked by lazyfox411

Summary
Grif turns his head to shoot Wash a side-eyed glare. “If you’d just fucking kissed him when you were supposed to, we wouldn’t be in this mess! Now we’re tied up on train tracks about to be smushed like bugs!”
Wash blinks. Then,
“What?!”Or, Wash and Grif find themselves in a bind, and Wash really doesn't have time for this conversation.
