The rain was loud against the cobblestones as he opened the door, but thankfully the awning kept him dry. On top of that, the water repelling charm he placed on his chalkboard had worked. No splashes of water ruined the calligraphy he had spent a whole day perfecting.
Suo tried to collapse the sign to bring it inside, but a yowl stopped him in his tracks.
Guess the sign wasn’t the only thing the charm was protecting from the elements.
Suo crouched down and peaked under the sign.
“My, my, it seems I’m not the only one that dislikes the rain.”

Touch had long since been equated to pain. Sakura had forgotten the soft touches on baby-soft skin and the gentle fingers brushing through monochromatic locks. Instead, he only knew the sharp tug of hair, the sting of punches, and the ache of bruises.
He had no memory of what kindness felt like, so he had nothing to long for–to crave.
