…and Q lounged on the couch, making a show of examining his nails and lying in wait.
“Ensign!” he jovially exclaimed, sitting up as soon as he spotted you. “Come in, come in. Jean-Luc and I were just having a delightful discussion about upright hominids and amphibians…”
He paused, and in a voice laced with equal parts velvet and malice, slyly finished:
“…And you.”
Goddamn it, why couldn’t it have been tribbles?

When Data asks you to deliver a message to Commander Riker in the holodeck, you walk in on an interesting simulation. In a dimly lit bar with a band playing on stage, Riker dances with a woman alone on the dance floor. Feeling like you're intruding, the song ends and you're able to deliver your message. When the woman Riker is holding turns to look at you, you realize you're almost looking at a computer hologram of yourself. This leads to complicated feelings for the commander, lessons in dancing, and an impromptu date.
