“You mean after I graduate?” Hirano still sounded sleepy but much more awake now. “I’ll go to university, obviously, then get a job. That’s just how life goes, isn’t it?”

“You need a date,” Kagiura said it as if he were stating an obvious fact that Hirano could somehow not comprehend. “I’m available,”
Hirano groaned, running a hand through his rough blonde hair, doing his best not to show the frustration that was growing inside. “You do not have to say it like that!”
“But I’m right though, you need a date,” Kagiura said without missing a beat.
“It is not a date,” Hirano huffed. He picked up a pen that was sitting on his desk, twirling it around between his fingers. “I’m simply inviting you to go to a weekend party with me,”

Hirano gets an invite to attend a party. The only catch was that he had to bring along a date.

Hirano glanced at the sky where the moon was still covered by dense clouds, raising an eyebrow. “Yeah, I guess,” he acknowledged, looking back at Kagiura. “But it’ll reappear soon enough, clouds never stay forever.”

“Even when I don’t realize it, you’re always keeping an eye on me,” Hirano continued softly. “I don’t need you to do more - you’re doing plenty. I’m just… I’m really glad you’re here, you know?”
The sincerity in Hirano’s voice made Kagiura’s chest tighten, and for a moment, all his anxieties melted away. Hirano didn’t expect anything from him except what Kagiura was already giving. And that was enough.

Hirano's up late revising for up-coming mock exams, Kagiura stays up with him and ends up worrying about some things, but it's okay since Hirano's there to reassure him!
