Summary
Her mother was the one usually walking her through situations she couldn’t understand, helping her find which option would do the least damage in the long run, which would benefit her the most in the future. She would explain the whys and hows and show her exactly how to go about it for maximum effect.
Her father would always pet her hair and ask her which option “felt better” to her. She was never able to answer that question so she learnt to answer with the option that she knew her father wanted her to follow. Most of the time it was the most draining option, the one where she would have to pretend to care, to understand, to feel.
But, at the end of the day, she would usually choose a mix of both, wanting to please them in some way, to make them happy.
Maybe if they were happy enough, she could absorb some of that happiness for herself.

Or alternatively, Ayano Aishi always wanted the chance to live a vibrant life. And now that she finally has that chance she will do everything in her power to never let it go.
Now if only her father's disappointed voice would leave her head.
