one of the best fics i have ever read and genuinely a testament to the power of fanfic in reinventing the canon with such happiness and hope. i went in a little dubious, with no previous attachment to the characters, and wound up incredibly delighted and emotionally compromised and also so so sad for the canon versions of them that couldn’t have this. so yeah, they’re my babies now <3
