Christmastime last year, this street was bright and bustling. Jay remembers dragging Jake down to go shopping one evening, because his evenings were free back then. Hell, evenings were safe back then. There were lights, and people in the streets, and this sort of darkness felt like a distant nightmare.
If Jay weren’t too busy writing other headlines, he’d write this: THE DISTANT NIGHTMARE IS REAL, FOLKS! ROBBERS CHASE POOR, UNSUSPECTING JOURNALIST DOWN A ONCE-LIVELY STREET.
Or: having a superhero in the city, as it turns out, does not reduce the dangers of living there. But for someone as interested in said superhero as Jay, this may not be such a bad thing...

“Someone cursed him.”
Now that isn’t completely surprising. “It wasn’t me, if that’s what you’re wondering.”
Yeonjun groans. “I know it wasn’t you, asshole.”
“How did he get cursed then?"
Taehyun waits. And waits. And… waits. Yet Yeonjun just keeps chewing his lip and looks around the café, avoiding the end of his sentence. Frustrated, Taehyun grits out, “If you don’t tell me what the fuck Beomgyu has, I’m walking out of here and telling everyone-”
“A vagina.”
Everything stills - not in a traumatic way. More like Taehyun is waiting to see if a camera is about to come out and say he’s been pranked. It sounds exactly like something Soobin would pull.
One day Taehyun wakes up and finds out his enemy, Choi Beomgyu, is cursed. With a vagina. Which, he now needs him AND his boyfriend, Choi Yeonjun, to help him get rid of.
Totally not stressful at all on Taehyun's part.

Yeonjun held up his own hand, the illusion of them holding each other's hand soothed something in Beomgyu, but Yeonjun's next words took away every inch of warmth from his body. "Missing me until your next husband, huh?" he asked bitterly.
"What? Of course not," Beomgyu frowned. "Why would you say something like that? Don't you know what you mean to me?"
"I think I know I mean a lot to you. And I know how much I love you. But, now, I'm starting to feel as though it's not enough to keep you with me. I feel as though I'll only ever have pieces of you, but never you."
"That is the furthest thing from truth I have ever heard," Beomgyu scoffed. "Since the first time we met, since that night in the bar, I've always been yours. You don't have pieces of me when my entire soul is made from the essence of loving you."
5 times Beomgyu married someone else and his personal assistant Yeonjun had to watch and pick up the pieces, and the one time, Beomgyu proposed to Yeonjun.
