Midoriya izuku couldn't take is life anymore, and did what he was told "pray that you will be born with a quirk in your next life, and take a swandive from the roof of a building!"
After it, he wake up in heaven, where he was told that he is a guardian angel, but by now, he can only watch.Bakugou katsuki cannot forgive himself for telling izuku that, "¿How can i call izuku my crush when i told him to kill himself?" He never told is friends about izuku, is past as a bully or how he felt because he didn't want to look "weak"
But the universe seems to want them to have a destiny where them are not in one path and the other in another.
