The smooth fabric of Dazai’s dress was cool to the touch under Chuuya’s hand. Chuuya was thankful Kouyou taught him the basics of dancing, because if she hadn’t, Chuuya’s hand would be sweating more than it already was against Dazai’s. Dazai glided across the dance floor majestically, with a grin, effortlessly dancing. Better than Kouyou, he’d even say.
Eventually, they made their circle around the dance floor, and they danced their way off onto the regular part of the building.
“I didn’t see her, did you?” he asked Dazai, trying to wipe his sweaty hand off secretly.
“Hm?” Dazai hummed, fixing his bangs. “Oh, she’s not on the dance floor at all. I just wanted to dance.”

As much as Dazai liked to play dumb, he wasn’t actually clueless. Chuuya had to be talking about his Christmas gift. What else could it be? And if Chuuya was calling it perfect, it had to be something truly amazing. That man had expensive taste, and as much as he hated to admit it.. He knew Dazai well enough to get something even he doesn’t realise he wants—That man was insanely good at gift-buying when it came to Dazai Osamu!!
Dazai’s competitive streak flared up instantly.
“Yeah, he’s gonna love it,” Chuuya continued, oblivious to Dazai’s growing interest. “I put so much thought into it. I wanted to get him something that really… I don’t know, shows how much he means to me.”

Summary

Navigating through parenthood was not easy, but Dazai was determined to try his absolute best for Atsushi, which included his chaotic family and friends “assisting” him along, in their own ways, and facing the past that he'd been trying to bury for a very long time.

Chuuya Nakahara had his priorities straight. Mostly.Between reviving a crumbling café in a new city, raising two children who seemed to absolutely hate him on most days, handling his well-meaning family and friends meddling in his life, and simultaneously trying to hold onto his sanity and temper in the process, he had his hands full.
But apparently landing in Yokohama was a signal for the cosmos to heap even more shit onto his overflowing plate. The hot doctor with gloomy eyes was just supposed to be a distraction. But, after having a taste, both can't seem to stay away from each other.
On this journey of love and parenting, will Dazai and Chuuya overcome all the unseen dangers still lurking in the background?
