The words came out in a hiss, and Gil couldn’t make sense of them at first.
“Four goddamn years!” Another hiss, another punch, this one landing on his arm. He grunted as the force of it rattled through him. “Not a word for four fucking years and hello is all you’ve got to say?”

Summary
Maybe this time if he didn’t speak Tuco would let it go. A foolish idea. Tuco was like a dog when it came to knowledge; if he discovered something, he would bite down, lock his jaw, and he wouldn’t let go until he was satisfied.
But no other words came. Tuco stayed quiet for the rest of the ride. He glanced over at Blondie a few times, something curious but contemplative in his expression, but he didn’t push. The conversation as they lay down at the fireside was short, all business, and it continued that way into the next day. It irked Blondie, set him on edge.
Tuco was like a dog.
Tuco would find a way to bite down.
Blondie would let him in spite of himself.

Yeah, so. I don't usually do WIPs. This idea kind of grabbed my brain last night as I was trying to sleep, though, and wouldn't let go until I'd at least posted a chapter. This isn't even my main ship! But here you have it: Thomas Hamilton, pirate captain of the Walrus, scourge of the Caribbean. If I keep this going, the rating will most assuredly change.
