Summary
Aloy returns to coastal California in search of a weapon to use against Nemesis. When she arrives, she finds herself plunged immediately into a thicket of peace negotiations between the Tenakth and Quen.
While her mind pulls her in one direction, however, her heart follows the trail of a particular Quen Marine. Aloy and Seyka must navigate their feelings and a developing relationship in the wake of a growing threat.

An alternate ending to the scene at the end of Burning Shores that explores how the conversation might have gone had Seyka been allowed to proceed with whatever speech she was planning.
