Logically, Percy knew Nico used to have a great big crush on him – six years ago – but he’d even framed it in the past tense when he told Percy. For months now things between them had been great, not in the least bit strained or awkward like they used to be. Never once in the past several months had he given any real thought to the mixed messages he might be sending, or worried that he might be unintentionally leading Nico on.
