Summary
Dazai wouldn’t call himself a control freak. He’s been called it by several others, sure, and does have a habit of losing his temper when plans go awry, but knows it only boils down to the fact that it’s because he knows he’s in the right to begin with. Being an executive had always meant Dazai could grab the operation by the reins and do it himself, or at the very least have a major role in it.
He hadn’t known to what extent this ‘control freak’ thing stretched until a month after he broke his femur. By unfortunate chance a bullet during a standoff with a rival Yokohama gang, Black Rabbit, had hit a fuel drum and exploded with enough force to send him ricocheting into a wall. Now, being restricted to simply ‘remain put’ in the back of a van poses a great deal of a problem to Dazai because not only is he not allowed to get involved in his own investigation, but he’s resigned to just being there for, what Chuuya calls, ‘immoral support’. Dazai has had his fingernails extracted before and would still rank it higher on his list of ‘Things I’d Like To Spend My Friday Night Doing’ than this.

Summary
"‘Beautiful’?
He never expected himself to say or even think that.
He had thought life would be too dull for him to be able to ever find anything truly beautiful.
Perhaps Odasaku was right after all, though. Perhaps there were things that could surprise even him; that even he could find beautiful. [...]
He felt for the camera in his pocket."(Based on a little comic by @voidance309 on Twitter)
