Summary
They’re in the middle of English class with Present Mic when the news breaks. Kaminari is the one who finds it first. His “whoa” draws the attention of most of the class, but instead of the look of excitement Katsuki is expecting to see, Drooly is looking a bit panicked as he stares down at his phone screen. “Please tell me that isn’t Kirishima."
Katsuki has pushed himself out of his seat and is across the room before he even realizes what he’s doing. “What the fuck are you looking at?” He snatches the phone and looks down at an image from a news article.
It’s undeniably Kirishima, but he’s covered in bandages and scrapes and bruises. His hair is a goddamn mess that’s half covering his face, and his eyes look like they’re nearly swollen shut. Even though he’s being carried out on a fucking stretcher, there’s a smile on his damn face as he appears to be talking to Frog Girl. It only brings him a small amount of relief because, fuck, Kirishima looks awful.

Just a short fic about the kids (mainly Bakugou and Kaminari) reacting to seeing the news about the Eri rescue before they get to see their classmates.
