Summary
Adam looked down at the intake form. Ronan Lynch. He was 6’3. He was Adam’s age. He had a concussion, maybe, and a scalp hematoma, definitely. Adam looked up from the intake form. Ronan was wearing black sweatpants and a black hoodie. His knuckles were taped, and his face was mottled with bruises. Adam knew what a face looked like when it had been punched; it was a lot to take in.
“Okay then, Ronan,” Adam said. “Let’s see that hematoma.”or: ronan is an MMA fighter who can’t seem to lose. adam is an ER doctor who can’t seem to stop catching ronan’s cases.

Summary
The first time Ronan brought it up, it was over the phone, and Adam was eating a cup of microwave Ramen.
“You should move in with me,” Ronan said.
Adam scowled down at his phone, a forkful of noodles halfway to his mouth. The display read RONAN and they’d been on the call for 23:47 and counting. He had just finished a ten hour shift, and he didn’t want to think about why this particular suggestion of Ronan’s had pissed him off so much. He scowled a little harder.
“No,” he said.or: adam is still an ER doctor. ronan is still an MMA fighter. declan is still doing his best.
