Summary

Your heart rate increases, there is a slight increase of cortisol levels and if he speaks in a low, growling tone, there is a sudden rise of your endorphin and dopamine levels—"

My take on what happens after Avengers: Age of Ultron! This story dives deep into the emotional wreckage left behind, exploring trauma, love, and redemption, with a heavy focus on Natasha Romanoff and Wanda Maximoff. As they try to heal from their haunted pasts, their complex relationship takes centre stage. But don’t worry—plenty of fan-favourite characters and ships make appearances, with some chapters dedicated to their own arcs, too!
Natasha carries the crushing weight of her guilt from the Red Room, while Wanda is still reeling from the loss of Pietro and her traumatic time with Hydra. Both of them are battling mental health issues, and let me tell you—it’s a rollercoaster. There are moments of pure joy, others of heart-wrenching pain, and some downright brutal lows. Yet, they’re constantly working through it. I’m pouring all of my personal trauma into these characters, and honestly, it’s cruel, but in a way, it’s also healing.
I’ll admit, I haven’t finished writing this story yet, so I can’t promise you a happy ending—but here’s hoping we get there. Who knows what’ll happen?
