An amused smile crinkles the corners of those bright beguiling eyes.
“God?”
Fuck.
Just like that, the tension fizzles out. Katsuki scowls, because he refuses to laugh. It’s not funny. The joke basically wrote itself.
“Shut it, bastard.”
“Shouto is fine,” is the needlessly smooth response. Really. “I didn’t come looking for you, by the way. I just wanted to buy a guitar and fell asleep.”
Whatever. To be honest, Katsuki no longer cares about the details when they become this unspecific, vague and lazy. Even the exposition of gods are disappointing these days.
Katsuki thought he was the last on earth. Apparently, that’s not the case.

This could be a one shot or it could be a connecting series I'm not sure yet. This is just dabi brain rot i really needed to get out of my head. I feel like dabi has a hint of softness to him but pretty typical true villain behavior with this one.

Summary
The brick wall is hard and he nearly breaks his nose when he’s shoved against it. His bandages drag awfully against the rough surface, and Hawks almost regrets leaving his apartment for a walk. Almost.
See, the thing is, he’d been going absolutely stir-crazy cooped up in there. The first week had been fine after being released from the hospital, but by the time the second week ahd rolled around he was ready to go back to doing whatever fuckshittery he could think of. But he can’t because ‘recovery’ and he needs to do ‘physical therapy’ and he can’t just ‘run around like an idiot.’ He thinks the exact words had been ‘like a headless chicken,’ but he refuses to acknowledge that.
It hurts and it’s perfect, starbursts of it bursting behind his eyelids whenever he blinks and winces, and it’s so perfect. He’d missed it more than he realized.
