REWRITING
There are invisible strings threaded around each and every person, tying their actions and thoughts to one another, controlling their fates. Each tug and pull draws people into this direction, that way. Rapunzel wasn't a stranger to those hypothetical strings - she'd been wrapped up in them for most of her life, after all. Then Eugene came into the scene, and he swept her away onto an adventure that ended with her freedom. She was content with that - why wouldn't she be? Inside, silently, she wishes - she wants - more. It sounded selfish, she was a crown heir! If Eugene's proposal was indicator, she was to be a wife too.
Was she ready to be tied down like that? The answer was no, evidently. But there was only so much she could do. This was life, and she would overcome challenges sent her away. So, maybe she was a little glad that the whole Moonstone and Dark Kingdom fiasco cropped up when it did. One last hurrah, a journey to be remembered through out the rest of her life. Then there was Zel. She was a different person, but still Rapunzel - just without reservation, without fear, without care for anyone in the world, except for Cass. Maybe that was where it started going downhill. Was it that bad?Series

Summary
Wilbur's revolution- the cultivation of hundreds of years of brainwashing by the King of the DSMP- has failed. Wilbur, Tommy, and Fundy now face the consequences of their insubordination: the Slaughtering, a game of death that takes place once a year in the House- a facility residing in the grand capital city of L'manberg. The contestants consist of criminals and citizens believed of treason, and they are dangerous.
Tommy and his family are not the only victims now forced to fight for their survival, though. Sapnap and the rest of his Demon military squad have finally been arrested. For nine years, they fought in the Badlands War, and two years ago, they lost it. Sapnap's determination to win his peoples' freedom still burns bright, though. If it weren't for two certain strangers, he would burn the House to the ground and assassinate the King himself.
They need to escape. They need to win the revolution. They need to be free.
