He curls his hands into fists on his thighs, flexing and unflexing, over and over, trying to focus on the race, on the carts, on the statistics flying by his eyes. Aydan envied the racers for being able to leave everything at the curb, to fly hundreds of kilometers a minute– to fly on adrenaline and a rush of dopamine.
Aydan Parker loves his job. He’s good at it. He was born for this, some might say, but his calculations were always weighing in the emotional turmoil of it.

Megumi can no longer sleep alone. The darkness that comes with the shift from evening to night makes him nauseous, especially if he’s on his own.
His first night back on campus has quickly turned into a disaster. His room, blackened by shadows that turned the walls to ink, felt far too familiar for his taste; a pitch-black void of nothingness to surround him as he remained confined inside his own body.
Itadori found him collapsed on his bedroom floor, trembling.
“I know, I know,” he murmured as he ran a comforting hand down Megumi’s back. “He always makes it too dark.”

Summary
Yuuta hasn’t seen many photos of Gojo when he was younger. There’s one, propped up and gathering dust in one of the offices in Jujutsu High, but only half of Gojo’s face is actually in it, being shoved out of frame by Getou’s hands. The man was laughing, and Shoko, who took the photo, only had half of her smile in frame too. Yuuta’s not asked much about it.
