"You do. Usually when you're deep in thought, which is most of the time."
"One could argue you know me quite well."
Jayce bites his lip. He feels warm.
Viktor stumbles upon a secret in Jayce's sketchbook—pages filled with sketches of him—and Jayce panics. It doesn't go as expected.

Summary
Getting Viktor to relax around another person is like trying to pry apart two neodymium magnets, in Jayce's eyes. His partner is so strong and stubborn, so damn determined to do things by himself. So, when an opportunity arises wherein Viktor could use a helping hand, Jayce is always willing to give. He'll give, and give, and give until there's nothing left of him. After all, Viktor is his best friend; of course he wants to assist in whatever ways he can.
Besides, could anything ever actually stop him from wanting to be by Viktor's side?
He doubts it.
Or, five times Jayce carried Viktor, and one time Viktor walked completely on his own.

But the runes in his crown are quivering, flashing multicolor lights that reflect at Jayce’s feet, as if trying to reach him, distraught.
“Stop this madness,” Jayce says, voice unwavering as he gestures behind himself to the horrors taking place at their feet. “Or I jump.”
Or: Jayce tries a different, more desperate approach to get Viktor back.
