As he escorted her home, he began to see that there might be more to the shy wallflower than he first thought. WIth her sweet countenance and spine of steel, she would be the perfect Viscountess Bridgerton, as long as he could keep those pesky feelings at bay and remember that this was an arrangement of mutual convenience. Pen wanted to get out from her mother's thumb, and he wanted to have a wife and be out of the marriage mart for good. They had no business falling in love along the way.
