Summary
Caitlyn has been a single mom to her 7 year old daughter Charlotte ever since Caitlyn's girlfriend left her and the child when Caitlyn told her girlfriend she was pregnant. She decided to not follow her mothers plans for her and become a detective, but ever since becoming a parent she hasnt had time for it and now works in a small cafe she owns. Her life has been stressful and hard for her, but she still loves the child nonetheless. Shes happy with just her and her daughter and doesnt care much for relationships anymore, until she meets Vi one day when she starts to work at the hardware store next door.

Summary
For weeks Cait could see the bags under Vi’s eyes growing and knew something was wrong. But with the ever-growing demand for her time, she finds herself pulled away more and more, leaving Vi alone and hurting.
In the aftermath of the battle, Vi can't help but stumble back into her old ways. She promised Cait she was fine, but the demons inside her head are stronger than her resolution and with Cait being gone so often, Vi finds herself pulling further and further away. Running off in the middle of the night, coming back battered and bruised and reeking of liquor. Unable to find hope in this new brighter world, the darkness in herself dragging her below where any light shines.
Vi is seriously injured. With Vi's life hanging precariously on the edge, Cait's world tilts on its axis and she realizes that if Vi dies, she just might too.
