Summary
Of course Hermione Granger would encounter Draco Malfoy at a Slytherin common room party. What she hadn’t expected was to have something in common with him, leading them to make a drunken marriage pact. It meant nothing, right? They both thought so.
A decade later, their lives have taken drastically different paths. Draco has just been released from Azkaban, a reformed Death Eater striving to rebuild his life and enjoy his newfound freedom. Meanwhile, Hermione is a successful Ministry official, dedicated to justice and equality, and harboring a deep-seated resentment towards those who supported Voldemort.
Their worlds collide when the ancient magic of an Unbreakable Vow is activated, compelling them to honor their unintended marriage pact or face death. As they struggle against the binding magic, they uncover hidden layers of each other’s lives and begin to question their long-held beliefs. In the process, they discover that the line between love and hate is thinner than they ever imagined.

Summary
Hermione Granger constructed a predictable life for herself following the war. However, she realizes that within the constraints of control there is no room for want. In an uncharacteristic move, she flees her life in London to visit Neville, who works as a gardener at the Zabini Estate in Italy. The Estate, now a wellness retreat for elderly witches and wizards, is also the refuge of three of her Slytherin classmates that she has not seen since the war. This is a story of overcoming assumptions, judgmental garden gnomes, flowers, and the quest for contentment.
