Summary
Every date Steve has gone to lately has been horrible. It’s impossible that there’s something wrong with the entire female population of Hawkins, so surely there must be something wrong with him.
“Why don’t you take me on a date then?”
“Wh— what?”
“Take me on a date, pretend, of course, and then I’ll tell you if there’s something wrong with you or not.”
Or: Eddie proposes a crazy idea to see if there's something wrong with him, Steve finds the fact that it works is even crazier.

Summary
“Ambidextrous, princess, it’s what makes me so good with my hands.” Eddie wiggled his fingers.
“You mean for guitar?” Steve asked, completely missing the innuendo, and also nearly knocking Eddie flat at the thought that Steve Harrington knew he played guitar.
“You stalking me or something?” Eddie asked.
Steve frowned. “Uh, no, but your band played in the middle school talent show, it’s pretty hard to forget a thirteen year old screaming death metal before his voice dropped.”
Eddie almost laughed at that. Almost. “You saying I’m unforgettable, princess?”
“If that’s how you want to take it, Munson."
Eddie realized this was turning towards something far more dangerous than taunting a boy known for getting into fights, like flirting with a very, very straight boy known for getting into fights.

Summary
“I think I’m stuck.”
Eddie laid his hand over the strings of his guitar to stop the cord, leaning over the edge of the bed to look down at him.
“Metaphorically,” Steve clarified.
“I’m gonna need a little more than that, baby.”
Steve sighed, leaning back against the edge of the bed. “I don’t want to work minimum wage or climb the corporate ladder or whatever, I want… I want something that makes me feel the way you do when you’re on stage. I want to feel like it means something that I’m still kicking.”
“What do you want to do?”
“You’re gonna laugh.”
“You planning on becoming a comedian?”
“Eds.”
“Stevie.”

Summary
"If Eddie had a genuinely mean bone in his body, or maybe if he had ever gained any real sense of self-preservation, he wouldn’t have agreed to this. He would have done the smart thing and declined when Steve had asked. He would have denied his request, full-stop, because even the idea of the week ahead of him is cruel and excruciating. But really, when at all over the last seven years of their history has Eddie ever been able to deny Steve Harrington anything?"
-----It's 1993, and Steve is getting married. There are just a few problems with this, the chief among them being that its not Eddie whom Steve is marrying. Instead Eddie is expected to act as Steve's best man, even though it might actually spell out the end of him. But, Steve asked, so of course he said yes

Summary
Book recommendations are Steve's least favorite part of the job, until he starts getting recommendations back from a mysterious guest. Their notes back and forth quickly become Steve's favorite part of the month, if only he could meet the guy he kept confiding in.
---
Steve,
Gonna give you the benefit of the doubt on this one since normally you don’t pick the worst books known to man. But here I am: offended on behalf of Iron Maiden that they were mentioned, never able to listen to The Trooper again. I've never read a book that actually dripped testosterone but it did, dripped all over everything. The testosterone stained my mattress, Steve and that's on you. Zombies are supposed to be a racial allegory or something, a representation of fear of what's different to you. The plague thing, ugh. You must get people telling you to read shit all the time, but if you're going to insist on a zombie plague you should at least go with Manhunt -- Gretchen Felker-Martin. Diversify it a little bit, Stevie.
