" Her hand moves to grab a few pieces of popcorn; tossing them into her mouth. Sheila watches as she chews, her side profile illuminated by the laptop in front of them.
"Having a girlfriend would be fun." For a moment, Sheila doesn't register the words coming out of her friend's mouth, her focus pinned to the sudden, yet gentle pressure of Trish's knee now pressed against hers. The bowl of popcorn had been discarded off to the side of the bed. She hadn't even noticed it had been moved.
"Yeah." She agrees. "It would be." "

Summary
Up close, Trish can see a fresh cut just above his eyebrow and a bruise swelling along his jaw. She gets the feeling he knows she's standing there and is choosing to ignore her, and it leaves her slightly irritated.
She clears her throat, and he opens a single eye.
"Here." She says, still holding the bottle out.
He just stares at her.
"You were looking for one of these, right? Here, I don't want it." She says more firmly.
He makes a sound that almost seemed as if he wanted to laugh at her before propping his head up on his hand and closing his eyes again.

Summary
She breaks eye contact with her reflection before she can feel the shame set in and goes about cleaning up her mess. For a moment she considers going back down without her lipstick and just having the makeup artists re-do it, but her hands act on their own and reach for the purse sitting on her vanity table.
She pulls out a familiar tube of lipstick, baby pink in color and already halfway used up.
The one thing she'd asked for all those months ago that managed to be salvaged when everything else had burned up in a fire. She’s avoided using it, wanting to preserve what she little she had left. But still, she runs it over her mouth a few times until the reflection in the mirror looks more like herself.

Summary
‘Leone’ wasn’t the merman’s actual name, per se. None of the other creatures of the sea referred to him by that, nobody referring to anyone by anything. To be known was to be recognized in the sea. Human customs are not satisfied by this policy, so it only made sense to Bruno that his partner needed something to be referred to by. It took several rounds of trial and error before finally choosing his name, but the merman ultimately grew to love his title.
Swimming his way over to the shore, Leone grew increasingly cautious with his clenched fist and the bag of various contents. Grainy textures of wet sand brushed against his belly, managing to tickle his gills. It wasn’t long before he purposely beached himself, twisting his body around and pushing himself to sit upwards. His mate was quick to approach him, eager to kneel down next to his partner.
Leone finds that his affection is best expressed through the rumbling purr he produces from the pit of his stomach. So when Bruno leaned forward to press a smooch to his cheek, he made sure to make the sound proud and announced.

Prosciutto swallowed down his pride, reaching his free hand up to knock against the door’s glass paneling. This quickly caught Melone’s attention, his head craning in a sharp turn to investigate the sudden noise. Thin, purple eyebrows shot up high on the man’s forehead, interest teeming his facial expression while he made eye contact with Prosciutto. He waved a greeting at his teammate, elongated fingers wagging to add an extra flair to the hand motion.
