Tsukasa hates the cold. He hates the rain. He hates empty houses. He hates the sound of silence. He hates the cold.
It was always far too cold when he was alone.
But now, as he stood at a time nearing the middle of the night. Hands resting now numbly on a freezing metal bar as wind violently whipped his hair every which way; the sound of water beneath the bridge he stood upon rushing loudly in his ears, he decided it was different.
Alternatively: Tsukasa is so, so tired, and decides one night that death will be his only solace from the thoughts which plague him. Can the virtual singers and his troupmates show him just how wrong he is about everything before it's too late?

But he was losing that battle today.There were few people who would be out in the streets of Mondstadt this time of night, fewer still Kaeya would have wished to see. Diluc was… one of the better options. Diluc understood Kaeya in a way few could. After all, Diluc was also broken. But it was more than that. Kaeya and Diluc understood each other because both had been complicit in shattering the other.
It was a special sort of intimacy, the knowledge of how a person looked when their soul was breaking.

His eyes shift around his room, the walls bare, the decor basic and lifeless. He never did get around to decorating. He’s a busy man, after all. Always moving, always stirring the waters, lest the river bed holds something he doesn't wish to see.
