Jacaerys has been the prized weapon of Winterfell’s Night Watch since the days of Torrhen Stark, when the hunter had captured the werewolf-vampire hybrid and bound him to the Stark lineage using blood magic and a pact. Eventually, this blood bond became known as the “Pact of the Blessed Night” through the Stark generations, its knowledge—the knowledge of Jacaerys—being passed from the current Stark head of the Winterfell Institute to his eldest heir, and only his heir.

It’s amazing how quickly Jacaerys and Cregan’s relationship had progressed in one night. They nearly killed each other at first meet, then they killed Cregan’s traitorous relatives. Then they had sex amidst said relatives’ corpses. And now Jacaerys is considering taking the young man to stay at his house for the night…
