Vi shouldn't have been surprised to learn that Caitlyn and Maddie were dating. They made sense in a way Caitlyn and Vi never did, but that doesn't mean the revelation hurt any less. Well, time for Vi to push the pain inside and ignore it until she dies, like any normal well adjusted adult would do!
When Maddie insisted the three of them head out for some drinks to relax for a short while after the fight against Ambessa, Vi didn't see why not. To Vi's delight, a very familiar face from Stillwater came to join the group on their night out.
Vi doesn't think she's ever seen Caitlyn so pissed off in her entire life.

Caitlyn could barely hear Vi’s gruff response over the rain on the pavement and the roaring in her ears; her heart pounded as her stomach twisted. She saw Vi’s bandaged arms begin to move up, realizing her intent was to pull up her hood and leave in the storm. Cait’s hand shot out before she even thought to move it, fingers curling into the vivid leather sleeve of Vi’s jacket.
“That’s not what you told me in my bedroom earlier,” she heard herself say, her voice sounding more sure and steady than she knew she felt.
