Yet sometimes, broken pieces of Sabine peek through. Sabine is a doctor who seeks to help others, and she is everything Viper doesn't allow herself to be; Caring, warm, dedicated. Vulnerable.
But deep down, Viper and Sabine are one in the same, and occasionally the mask will slip. Until eventually, the mask disappears altogether.

Sabine Callas stares back at her, head tilted and eyes blank.
“Well, well. Aren’t you a fun surprise?” She rasps. Even as Killjoy’s mind screeches danger at her, she still has to resist the instinctual urge to relax at the sound of Viper’s voice.
This is not her Sabine.
