“Fuck, hey um, I think…” Tsukishima says, not even caring that he’s breaking every protocol and all the unspoken rules of glory holes. Literally, there is no speaking at the glory hole. Maybe some moans or slutty whimpers, but you don’t talk. “I think I’m stuck and I don’t know what to do.”
There is a long silence from the guy on the other side, and of course Mr. ‘I-have-the-mouth-of-God' isn’t going to talk back to him or help him. That’s not what people do at glory holes, at least he thinks that’s how it is. Tsukishima read up on the etiquette online, but this is still his virginal voyage into the world of glory holes, so he might be wrong.

The way Ushijima kisses is nothing like the way he plays volleyball. Kageyama thought he'd be rough. That he would push and push to get what he wants. But in reality, it is much more like the way Ushijima talks to little kids who come to their games. The way he bends down to pet a stray cat.
Ushijima kisses gently, cautiously. He pulls more than he pushes, responds more than he initiates. Kageyama wonders if Ushijima thinks he might break Kageyama. Wonders if this really is who Ushijima is, behind the curtain of all the power and intimidation that he saves for volleyball.

"From the moment I saw you play for the first time," Wakatoshi confesses. "I knew you were special."

Couldn’t comprehend what seeing them together brought up in him, nor did he want to think about how, since getting to know Ushijima on this team, in this context, that he desired to hear him tell him he was better than Oikawa in ways that had nothing to do with volleyball.
