Summary
It's silent, only the creaking of the oars as they dip down, dragging through the water, steadily pushing them forward, cut through the stillness. He's sitting in the back, sun relentless over him, but he doesn't dare to ask for water since he's already been scolded for nearly falling into the water as he got on the boat. Taeyong has his back turned against him and he can feel his disapproval radiate from how his shoulders are tensed up. He understands though, if the tables were turned he probably would have wished for someone more experienced too. Instead he got him, Yuta, who really doesn't know anything about nothing when it comes to the task laid before them. As they near the island the familiar sounds of waves crashing against rocks and screeching seagulls break up the tension somewhat. Even Taeyong seems to relax, suddenly seeming eager, as if he can't wait to get to shore. Yuta looks up at his new home for the summer. It's not really a friendly looking place, all sharp rocks, crashing waves and then, rising up from it tall, in a sort of intimidating majesty, the lighthouse.

"Okay," Renjun laughs. "You guys are making him sound like an urban legend, or something. He’s just some dude."
"Wow," Haechan says, gleefully. "I always knew you were a bit of a conspiracy theorist, but I had no idea you would go so far as to fuck our local campus cryptid."
(Or: Renjun hooks up with Jaemin Na, who is not-a-cryptid but is also not-not-a-cryptid, and it all spirals from there.)
