Summary
TK’s been off all day. Paul noticed it first (obviously) and now Judd wishes he hadn’t said anything at all. Because now-- after watching him a little more carefully-- he’s seen TK wince about a dozen times in the last three hours. He’s been wearing long sleeves.
In the middle of August.
In Austin, Texas.
He tried to put it out of his mind. TK would talk when he’s ready, he thinks. And they all know how well he does when they press him on topics he’s not ready to talk about.
So Judd tries not to think about it. Until he goes into the locker room.Series

Summary
Part of the reason Buck loves rope rescues is because he has a good partner. Work partner. He is also familiar with all of the parts, all of the tools, all of the knots necessary to sustain his body weight.
He's been climbing since he was a kid; first at the YMCA after school, then at that summer camp his parents had sent him to (he had felt like they were trying to get rid of him but he loved the place so he didn’t care). Then it was just...something he did. In the Carolinas, in Peru – God, Peru was the best place to climb. Before he moved to LA, he hadn't done it as often – no time, no money, something like that. But the rope rescues at work sometimes left him wanting to feel that adrenaline rush, that free fall feeling. The feeling that there is nothing but fifty, sixty, maybe even a hundred feet of nothing between him and the ground.
And he is in total control.

When TK asked Tommy to sing at the wedding, the song choice was easy. It was his mom's favorite, but she also called it their song. He never really thought about how perfectly Stephen Sondheim's Being Alive fit his relationship with Carlos until now.
OR
A recap of major moments in their relationship, represented by a line from the song.

Summary
TK is a paramedic. He knows that your mind and body are connected. He’s been told that grieving can cause physical pain—a psychosomatic limp, intestinal problems, back problems. He knows that it does; he has seen it. He had always been thankful that he had never experienced it personally.
But now…
It’s not a centralized pain. It’s overwhelming. It’s everywhere.
And he doesn’t think it will ever go away.

Summary
“And you think maybe you’re just really great friends with this guy, but then you start to think about how you can’t imagine what your life was really like before him, and you really don’t want to imagine what your life would be like without him.”
“Holy shit,” Buck breathes, nodding still. “Yeah, all of that. How’d you…”
“Have you considered that you may be bisexual, Buck?”
Buck turns back to TK, frowning. “No? I mean, maybe?” He groans and leans forward to set his coffee mug down before he throws himself back against the couch, running his hands down his face. “I guess I haven’t really tried to label it? It’s not something I really thought about before—”
“—Eddie?”
(Buck's struggling with his feelings, so he does the only logical thing to do: he drives 20 hours to Texas after a 24-hour shift by himself to seek out help from some new friends.)
