Summary
When Kakashi thinks of Obito, the taste of death still lingers on his tongue. He is filled with grief and heartache, his mind swirling with broken promises, not knowing that the person he craves is alive and out of his reach.
Broken, miserable, and stifled in darkness, Obito Uchiha lives on. All he sees is a world not worth living in, and so he goes back to when it was.
And then both of them wake up a year before the Battle of Kannabi Bridge.
For Obito, this new timeline is this world’s last chance. If he cannot change it, he will send it into a perfect, infinite dream. For Kakashi, this strange reality is a gift, a second chance to save the boy he loves.
Only one problem remains — neither of them know the other went with them.
